How To Set A Daily Schedule

  1. Ask everyone involved what activities are important during the day—for example, meal times, chores, work responsibilities, downtime, etc.
  2. Set priorities, including fun!
  3. Decide how and where the schedule will be communicated. There are so many ways to do this: a list on the counter, a calendar on the fridge, a poster in the computer room, etc.
  4. Decide who will be responsible for creating the visual.
  5. Discuss the importance of communication, paying attention to the routine, but also flexibility and being spontaneous.
  6. Be consistent, diligent, and patient with each other and adjust as needed.
  7. Make sure to add affirmations!
